I lost my work badge (again). Bummer! That creates all kinds of irritations trying to get around in our building. And I looked and looked. Even cleaned out my car (which is a good thing). Found things under the couch cushions I didn't need, of course. Whew! It's dirty under there! And I prayed with a double mind--God cares about the little things vs. this is a ridiculous prayer.
Anyway, made me wish that I didn't lose stuff. My son even said, "Maybe you need to put a beeper on it to help you find it next time." If I did, everything in my house would be covered with beepers. I wish I were more organized! Life would be easier!
Which made me think about children's ministers. What is it you wish for? What is it that you just can't seem to get a handle on--like for me, losing things? (Did I mention I lost my Bluetooth, too?) What is it that seems to irritate you repeatedly that you'd love help with--paperwork, phone calls, scheduling, meetings? If your irritation could disappear to make your life easier, what would that thing be?
Give me your wish list!
I wish I could keep my office clean... that is if I could clean it in the first place! I feel like if I could keep my office clean, I could be so more effective in the times where I quickly need to find a resource, an article or a master copy of a letter. Maybe then my office wouldn't be the running joke around here either :)

Jill,
Me too! Sometimes I feel so convicted when I'm reading organizational tips from CM Professional Edition--as I peer over stacks of clutter to see the monitor!

Minutiae, all the little stuff that makes everything run smoothly. Especially paperwork, various small details, and resources. For me it is mainly a lack of time to do it. Fortunately, I have some key people who help me out in this area. They make me look far better than I deserve.

I wish that I could have someone follow me around all day and make notes of things I say I'm going to do, and then pass me a sticky when the time comes to actually do it.
So, if I think,"I need to call this volunteer on Tuesday" - on Tuesday, I would get a note that said "Call this person".
I know they make all kinds of devices, and organizers, and I even have an Iphone which is helpful...but I forget to use these things to help me remember the things I forget.
AAAAAH!! They make entire stores to help with organization, and yet my brain is the one untapped market!

Chris:
My wishlist would include the ability to see all the ideas that we think up come to pass!
Too often I get to an event, a sermon, a meeting, and think, "Man, it would've been great IF..."
Usually it's due to lack of time. I'm a bit of a procrastinator.
Which, now that I think about it, is the second thing on my wish list.
Oh, and that you didn't have to wait a week before watching another episode of 24.
